The guidelines below enable us to leverage our unique food business experience, respected financial and investment planning expertise and ability to mobilize a deep network within the US food & beverage marketplace to secure viable partnerships.
- Investment Type: Majority position in either a buy-out investment or a growth equity position. There is a strong willingness to collaborate with management to build talent, infrastructure and efficiencies necessary for sustainable, scalable growth for a company in food and/or beverage manufacturing, marketing and distribution.
Very willing to provide Executive Management leadership in order to improve/transform the business model, provide expert guidance in operations, marketing and sales expansion globally (especially US market), improve cash-flow and operate collaboratively with employees and stakeholders to produce accreditive long-term value.
- Target Profile: €3M to €20M Revenue – distressed asset(s) preferred or entities with unacceptable EBITDA for the current owner. Direct-to-owner engagement is preferred; private family-owned entities with or without next generation participation are welcomed. Inclined to work with lenders and investment funds in the event a direct-to-owner preference is not available.
Interested in motivated seller(s) – either a retiring owner, stakeholders selling the family business, a corporate divestiture or frustrated investor. Prefer some reoccurring and predictable revenue. A stable customer base is important (not the size of the customer base).
- Areas of interest: Companies producing health and wellness products with “clean” label are primary targets, grocery and frozen product categories are preferred, some ability to demonstrate sustainable commitment to social goals a benefit.
Possible niche player in either/or an emerging growth segment (plant-based, hemp, functional food/pharma-foodicals, etc.) or established recognizable Market brand, a top three (share) product category brand. Non-GMO, Organic, Vegan, Halal, and Kosher competencies very welcomed. Reliable source of ingredients and materials, a functioning supply-chain and local community support of the operation. Functional processing and packaging operations with some certification for safe operations. Not interested in any Olive Oil products.
